    If you have placed an order for an item which is temporarily out of stock, Zoo Book Sales / Serpents Tale NHBD will honor the price of the item at the time it was backordered.

  • Zoo Book Sales / Serpent's Tale NHBD respects your privacy and we do not disclose your information to outside parties.  The information we request is used strictly to process orders and to contact you should we have questions regarding your order, notify you of order status and respond to your inquiries.

    When placing your order, you are automatically added to our email and mailing list to receive announcements of forthcoming titles, upcoming auctions and sales. At any time you would rather not receive these mailings, simply notify us and we will removed from our mailing list. Please include your address as shown on the address label to ensure that your removal request is processed promptly.

    Should we change our privacy policy, changes will be posted on this page to insure that you are always aware of how we use the information we collect and under what circumstances it would be disclosed.



  • Shipping & Delivery
  • Every effort is made to ship your order the same or next business day which it is receive.  Backorders are not charged until they are available for shipment.

    Standard shipping (USPS Media Mail) within the USA, including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Guam. is $4.00 per order.  Expedited shipping (USPS Priority Mail) within the USA is offered at $5.50 per order.

    EXPEDITED ORDERS: Please note EXPEDITED ORDER in the "Special Instructions" during checkout.

    Sending a check, money order, or paying with PayPal, please add $1.50 to the total due on your order to cover the difference in shipping cost.  If you are paying by credit card, we will add the $1.50 when processing your order.



  • International
  • Canadian, Mexican, and International orders are charged actual shipping charges.  Standard shipping is USPS International Priority Mail.  In some cases due to the size or weight of the order, there may be additional charges required.  Should your order require additional charges, we will contact you regarding available shipping options.



  • Sales Tax
  • Zoo Book Sales / Serpent's Tale NHBD charges sales tax for merchandise ordered on this website based on the applicable regulations of state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped.



  • Return Policy
  • While we make every effort to pack your order carefully, should you receive a damaged shipment or are disappointed in any way, you may return the book within 30 days for a full refund or credit.

    If you are returning a book due to damage, defect or an error was made by us, you will receive full credit for the returned book plus return postage.  Within the USA, simply return the book to us "USPS Media Mail Delivery Confirmation" and include a copy of the invoice with a brief explanation of why you are returning the book.  Please be specific about defective or damaged books, i.e. pg 125-129 misprinted, pg 75-79 missing, etc.  Canada, Mexico and International customers must contact us at (507)467-8733 or zoobooks@acegroup.cc before shipping a return.

    If we are replacing a damaged or defective book, or shipping the correct one due to our error, we generally ship the replacement immediately if possible.  There is no additional postage charged to you.  You will receive an invoice with payment due in 30 days with the new shipment.  Your account will be credited as soon as we receive the returned item.  We do ask that you pay the return postage for any return other than book damage, defect, or if we made an error in shipping.

    If you are are unhappy for any reason regarding your order, please let us know immediately and we will make every effort to solve the problem!



  • Store Hours
  • Regular Office Hours ... Monday through Friday 7:30am-5:30pm CST.  We are occasionally in the office weekends, evenings, or holidays and will gladly help you.

    We have live customer service .. no auto attendant.  If we are unable to take your call, please leave a message on our recorder and we will get back to you as soon as possible.  When leaving a message, please speak slowly, clearly, include your name, a brief message, and a phone number where we can reach you during regular business hours.
